The W.R. Thompson Trophy is presented to the members or group of the RCDC who made the most significant contribution to the land, sea, or air operational role of the RCDC during the last calendar year, or over the past several years. The award recognizes accomplishments in training, operations, development of doctrine or any other aspect of the RCDC operational role.
